Steve, Just a note to let you know about our trip to Israel 4/29-5/15/08. We could not have had a better trip. The tour guides were terrific. In being our first trip to Israel, it was the perfect choice. The small group of 10 was also quite enjoyable. In fact, the first 3 days we actually had a private tour guide. We got a great sampling of the entire country. We wanted more time at various stops, such as the museums, Safad, Eilat, etc., but we can consider that on our next trip. Sincerely, Steve
Hi Sahya, It is now a little over a month since Ken Simon and I took our group to Israel, where we had a wonderful tour. I have neglected to write and thank you for assisting us in creating such an excellent trip. The guide Aaron Yahav was excellent, even if at times he was a bit too punctual. His knowledge of Israel, its history, culture and people were excellent. He managed to keep all of us interested even those like myself, who had been to Israel before, interested and excited. The accommodations at each Dan hotel were excellent as were those at the Kibbutz. Visiting the sites in the order that we did from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and sites along the way, such as Zippori, Caesarea, Haifa, and finally ending at Eilat and then back to Tel Aviv was a stroke of genius and an excellent way to see the country and learn. Steve Jacoby had arranged our touring guide with you last month for our visit to Israel - myself, my wife and two children. We wanted to let you know that Shalom Langer provided us with four wonderful days of touring, knowledge and friendship. Having previously visited many of the more well know sights, we had asked Steve to arrange a guide who could take us to locations we had not seen before. Each day Shalom brought us to locations that were amazing to see and he explained many facts about their history since the establishment of the State of Israel. He also shared with us his great knowledge of the history of the Jewish people prior to 1948 in the places we visited. Each stop provided us with new knowledge of the land and people. Even as he drove us through the country he provided wonderful historical information, as well as the present and future of Israel. When we visited Safed, where we had been before, he introduced us to two wonderful galleries and a unique history of the artists and their homes.
